Okay, here we go, first entry. Of course, I have to write the scripts, so nobody but me will see it for a few weeks.

What kind of website is this? Think of it as a time index of my projects. Or a webblog of them if you must.

What it really is, is a spur to me. I'm not allowed to post abstract ramblings. Each entry will refer to a specific creative effort with a concrete product.

It's too easy to get caught up in the grind of work, passing the time instead of using it. "Public" publishing, even unaccompanied by any kind of advertising will still force a higher standard. More than that, by keeping a public log, I'm hoping some guilt will encourage me to do all the projects I want to do.

So what is this first entry? It's these sites that I've created. I've made the main site-generating perl scripts available. What it does is take a series of text files, prettifies them and generates the menu structure based on the directory structure that the files are in. So now I just emacs text files, and get this pretty website.
